To bring about that change faster, he decided that Earth had to be extinguished, to give us a chance to start over in a different way in a different place. And with this decision, he turned away from the light, and embraced darkness.

The darkness was spreading quite literally now, as Mrityu's asteroid hurtled towards Earth, obscuring the sun as it came closer and closer. The way it was headed, it would certainly destroy the planet, ending all current life and all possibility for new life, and sending all souls back to the other side prematurely.

And so Prana, having the vision that Mrityu did not, and seeing that there was still hope for Earth to play a pivotal role in developing the global consciousness, had to stop this from happening. Using nothing but the power of concentrated thought, he sent vibrational waves out into the cosmos. And as they spread, his focused intention condensed them into a tangible form, and they began resisting the movement of this giant rock. Slowly but surely, its path started to change.

Still, the asteroid was more than 6 miles wide and traveling at 35,000 miles per hour, and not ready to surrender so easily. It was slowing down and changing course, but still racing towards the Earth and ready to deliver an impact far beyond what had ever been seen before. Prana continued his focused concentration with all the energy he could muster, knowing that the fate of so many souls depended on what he did now.

The asteroid entered Earth's atmosphere with no signs of breaking up or stopping short of its target. But it would no longer be a head-on collision - Prana had moved it enough so it would strike at an angle that would hopefully lessen the impact enough to make a difference. Maybe, just maybe, Earth could be saved.
