We are here not just to be, but to do and to grow. By each having our own purpose here to accomplish in a finite span of time, we give ourselves an experience that we can take back through the ether, adding to what we've learned and giving us a chance to grow our consciousness.

There is always a death that brings about the end of life, but without an end, life would be meaningless. Because we are here for only a short time, we avoid the tired monotony we experienced on the other side, which naturally comes after countless eons of the same thing.

Because we can all cross over at any time, and because we can force others to do so, we appreciate that life is not something to be taken lightly. Time is no longer an infinite continuum with nothing changing from one end to the other. Now time is what we choose to make of it. A time to be born, a time to die, a time of love, a time of hate, and so on.

Yes, the grand experiment, led by the dinosaurs up to that point, had been a success. But it was far from finished. The soul has tremendous capacity for all thoughts and feelings, but its ability to experience them in the physical plane is limited by the body it inhabits.

The first life forms on Earth were single-celled organisms. They couldn't do very much beyond metabolizing, growing, and reproducing, but they were a wonderful start. At last, life had been created!
