So here we are, right back where we started. Tuck told me that the Mayans believed in the cyclical nature of time, and I have a feeling that this has happened several times before. Maybe it will happen again, and things will turn out better next time.

I can hear Mrityu out there, coming for me, the one he said he would save for last. That means that the rest of the world has met their fate, choosing either to join him in the new world, or not to live to see it.

This steel door won't protect me. I'll have to face him. And I have no idea what to do.

I'm telling this story in case my words somehow survive after I'm gone. If someone is here to find them, I hope they learn something.
