"I didn't need him dead," I explained, "just out of the way. My bare hands worked well enough. I pretended to walk away, and he turned around and started going back to the door. Then I ran at him and threw my arm around his throat, and squeezed until he dropped. Then I stuffed him into one of the evidence lockers. He won't cause us any problems."
"So you're getting pretty good at this," Tuck observed.
"Just doing what I had to," I said. "But doing it with my bare hands was a lot harder than I thought it would be." Then motioning towards Tyrone, I said, "I never could have done that to someone like him."
"But you somehow found a rope before coming in here?" Tuck asked, confused.
"Fiber wire," I said. "On the guard. I thought I might need the key to Morty's office, so I was looking for that. He had this fiber wire in his pockets, which I thought could be helpful, though I hoped I wouldn't need it."
"The guard didn't have a gun?" Tuck asked, surprised.
"No, he couldn't," I said. "He's not with the building's security company, just one of Morty's thugs. He wouldn't be allowed to have a gun in here. But fiber wire is deadly if you know how to use it, and it has the added benefit of not setting off metal detectors, which is how he got it in here."
"How do you know this?" Tuck asked.
